MICHAEL HINCH "Living the Dream Mixer Man Remix" Dec 2011

Well Back in the studio again today working on Michaels vocals, everything is starting to take shape nicely. Vocals are starting to sound perfect for my remix working on some cool special effects. I want the mix to be very bounchy and punchy working on the basslines at the moment compressing them with a cool vintage compressor. 

The remix will be around 5.00 minutes in length I'm aiming to do something very special for this remix. I don't often get asked to remix male vocals so its something new for me to do I have worked with one or two male vocalists before but normally work with around 99% with female vocalists. 

I'm enjoying how everything is starting to sound, I'm going to take alittle bit of time on this remix before I release it. This remix will be out on Itunes released under Beat Factory Click to enter

1 Dec 2011 - Mixing Day

For this song I want the vocals to standout more, so im going to spend a couple of days processing and working out vocal effects. I know which way I want the vocals to sound its just a case of spending hours mixing and trying different vocal effects. all the drumbeats are done and basslines perfectly mixed. I have an idea for the atmosphere of the song something thats very catchy lots of movement. Back in the studio on Sunday todays session was more of listening to the vocals and getting a feeling for the song. 

Customising it to my liking before im fully happy with the song. my version is more uptempo Bye for now See you all on Sunday from Mixer Man

30th November 2011 - Day one of Recording

Started sampling the vocals today, listen to the original version of the song. I think im going to go more in the way of dance music rather than pop because I've started laying down the rhythm and it really brings the song alive.

Working on the basslines next maybe my good friend Roland Jupiter 8 could help me out with something abit more retro. Its a great pop song, cannot wait to hear the full mix once I've completed writting the melodies & chords for the song.

I'm going to give the song and nice chunky beat with a very strong rhythm section. as for the bassline and melodies I haven't worked them out yet.

But the idea is there and over the next week or so it will start to fall into place and take shape.
